Obelisk - Salmon Fishing

Michael is the son of Margaret Ryley and a highly regarded sculptor and ceramicist in his own right. This obelisk depicts the salmon caught in the Kaiapoi river and is sited at a sharp bend in the river, once well known for catching salmon.

The structure includes stainless steel fish and on top is a stainless steel fishing lure. The stainless steel salmon replace the original ceramic ones which were sadly vandalised.
