Mail Box Sculpture
The letterbox project was conceived by ’Flourishing Kaiapoi’ and picked up by a group of individuals called the ‘Rubble Rousers’. Letterboxes and road signs were collected from red zoned areas after the earth quakes and welded together by local artist Mark Larsen.
The sculpture was originally on the old Post Office site on the corner of Charles and Williams street. It was relocated to its present site in time to mark the 5th anniversary of the Darfield Earthquake.
